Caregiver Support Staff
Pay: $16.23 - $18.00 per hour
Job description:
We are looking for a compassionate, dependable, and patient caregiver/support staff to assist a nonverbal adult at home in daily routine and activities. This role focuses on providing respectful personal care, companionship, and support while encouraging independence, comfort, and quality of life.
Responsibilities:
- Assist with daily personal cares and hygiene needs
- Provide support with dressing, grooming, toileting, showers, and other routine care tasks
- Offer companionship and engage in meaningful interaction and activities
- Accompany client on outings and community activities
- Spend time outdoors, as he enjoys nature and being outside
- Help maintain a calm, positive, and safe environment
- Support mobility and daily routines as needed
- Light housekeeping related to client care
- Monitor comfort, mood, and overall wellbeing
Ideal Candidate:
- Patient, kind, and dependable
- Comfortable working with nonverbal individuals
- Enjoys outdoor activities and being active in the community
- Observant and able to communicate through nonverbal cues and routines
- Respectful, open-minded, and compassionate
- Previous caregiving or DSP experience preferred
- Valid driver’s license preferred for outings and appointments
Schedule:
Flexible scheduling available. May include daytime, evening, or weekend hours depending on needs.
Pay:
$16.23-$18/hr
