TITLE: Family Resource Coordinator, Early Supports for Infants and Toddlers
Location: Child Development Center - Snoqualmie, WA
Hours: Full-Time (40 hours/week) with flexible scheduling options
Pay: $24.67 – $34.68/hour ($50,327 – $70,747 annual), Depending on Experience

SCOPE: As a member of the Birth to Three, Early Support for Infants and Toddlers team, the Family Resources Coordinator (FRC) will provide coordination of services to families of children with developmental delays,act as a source for community resourcesand maintain necessarypaperwork and timelines and record keeping, supporting the family and therapist. The FRC will advocate for the child and family needs,and serve as the primarycontact to families, facilitating relationship to the familyand therapists in guiding the Individual Family Support Plan (IFSP) and ensuring all services are provided in regulation to Part C services.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Program Planning/Record Keeping
- Take the lead for each assigned child and family ensuring appropriate program implementation
- Maintain the statedata management systemand agency medicalrecord system to access funding
- Participate in community meetings related to networking for program visibility information on community resources and promotion of Early Intervention services
- Interact with other Encompass programsand staff to support family knowledge and participation in other organization programs
- Document all parentcontacts, complete any necessary reportsand records to maintain accuratefiles for program evaluation and monitoring for their caseload
- Facilitate the Individualized Family Service Plan (IFSP) for each family that will providing supportto child/family and therapist.
- Work collaboratively with the therapists and family to ensure that services are provided in natural environments, including inclusive playgroups, the household and community settings
- Ensure compliance of Encompass, IDEA Part C, and schooldistrict policies, procedures, and timelines
- Other duties as assigned
Coordinating Services
- Work with the ESIT team as an active participant to coordinate servicesand offer teamingsupport to staff
- Work alongside FamilyResource Coordinators as a team to ensureresponsiveness to familiesand ESIT compliance
- Advocate for familiesto assure coordination between Encompass servicesand other communityor organization services
- Maintain knowledge of available communityresources and make necessary referrals to meet
families’ needs
- Coordinate with medicaland health providersas needed
Direct Service
- Serve as firstcontact for incomingfamilies to the program - complete intakeprocess for the scheduled initial evaluation
- Schedule interpreting servicesas requested
- Review program information parent rights with the family,providing them with written information
- Refer to evaluation team for evaluations and assessments
- Facilitate the development, review and evaluation of the Individualized Family Service Plan (IFSP). Track service delivery
- Facilitate transition plan to Part B or private servicesprior to child’sthird birthday to ensure familyis connected to relevant services or resources when Early Intervention services end
- Offer support to families throughhome visits and required monthlycontact
- Demonstrate a desireto identify, gain knowledge in and awarenessof individual experiences and societal oppressions that impact ESIT families and children in underserved populations centered around race, ethnicity, sexual orientation, belief systems, physical/mental/neurodevelopment differences, marital status, and gender
QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood, Human Services or related field; or at least two years of experience working or volunteering in the field of human services or early intervention, preferably with home visitation; or at least two years of equivalent life experience with early intervention as a parent/caregiver. A combination of experience and education will be considered.
- Able to work in a collaborative, fast paced work environment
- Successful experience workingwith parents and children with special needs
- Understandingof child development and background in developmental disabilities
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Skilled in groupfacilitation
- Experience in home visiting
- Basic computer skills
- Excellent time management and organizational skills
- Ability to work well as a memberof a team
CERTIFICATION AND LICENSES
- FRC year 1 basic training(within 90 days of hire)
- FRC year 2 training
- Ongoing FRC training12 hours per year
- Child/Infant CPR; First Aid; BloodBorne Pathogens
- Valid Washington state driver’s license
- Automobile insurance
