Job Overview
MOVA is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Grants Administration Intern to join the Grants Administration Team. This internship offers a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in supporting grant administration and procurement while contributing to MOVA’s mission of assisting victims and survivors of crime.
Responsibilities and Duties
- Support tasks related to the administration of grants to support victim and survivor services in Massachusetts
- Ensure compliance with state and federal regulations by reviewing grantee expense reports for allowable costs and approving for reimbursement
- Participate in the development of grant applications as needed
- Utilize MOVA’s electronic grants management system, eGrants, to review, process, download and save grant administration materials, upload documentation, and complete status modifications
- Maintain accurate record-keeping
- Work collaboratively within teams and across departments to assure efficiency and accuracy of work products
- Assist in the maintenance and development of written resources and documents related to grants administration, such as policies, procedures, and reports
Qualifications
- Interest in grants administration and nonprofit management
- Familiarity with the victim/survivor services field and/or direct services programming (e.g., social services, sexual and domestic violence services, etc.)
- Strong written and oral communication skills
- Strong attention to detail and overall organizational skills
- Ability to establish and meet deadlines and effectively problem solve
- Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion
- Demonstrated computer skills, including Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, and capacity to learn other specific software
- Ability to work effectively independently and in a collaborative team environment
- Commitment to furthering MOVA’s overall mission

- This internship is an initial 4-month contract, with the possibility to extend and a flexible anticipated start date of mid-September 2026
- This is a paid part-time remote position with flexible hours (10-15 hours per week) Monday – Friday with an anticipated pay rate of $20.00 per hour
- Candidates must be based in Massachusetts, or a neighboring state, with the ability to commute to one of MOVA’s office locations in Northampton or Boston a minimum of twice over the course of the internship
