This is a full-time, 13-week Summer 2027 internship as part of FlexGen’s Early Careers Program, which includes professional development, networking, and fun events throughout the summer.

Position Summary: 

FlexGen is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Business Development Intern to join our team for the Summer of 2027 as part of our Early Careers Program. The Business Development Intern will work closely with FlexGen’s Business Development team, contributing to strategic initiatives, market research, and customer engagement efforts. The intern will develop a deep understanding of energy storage markets and gain experience working in a fast-paced, innovative environment. 

Major Job Responsibilities: 

• Conduct market research to identify potential customers, partnerships, and opportunities in the energy storage sector. 
• Support the development and execution of business development strategies and proposals. 
• Assist in preparing presentations and reports for internal and external stakeholders. 
• Collaborate with the marketing team to enhance outreach campaigns and promotional materials. 
• Analyze industry trends and competitor activities to provide actionable insights to the team. 
• Engage in cross-functional collaboration to ensure alignment with company goals and objectives. 
• Provide administrative and logistical support for business development initiatives. 

Position Requirements: 

• Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Renewable Energy, or a related field. 
• Strong interest in renewable energy, energy storage, and sustainability. 
• Excellent research and analytical skills with the ability to interpret and present data effectively. 
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) is required. 
• Strong written and verbal communication skills. 
• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced team environment. 
• Highly organized and detail-oriented. 
• Previous internship or project experience in business development or renewable energy is advantageous 

Early Careers Program:

A 13-week summer program designed to provide real-world work experience to students currently pursuing a degree in a related field to FlexGen.  This program will give students interested in a career in renewable energy and battery storage space hands-on exposure to FlexGen projects and mentorship from industry professionals.
