PART TIME -Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA)

Preakness Healthcare Center, located in Wayne, NJ, is licensed as a 406-bed skilled nursing facility that is owned and operated by the County of Passaic. Our mission is to provide the finest care to our patients and residents. We offer sub-acute care, physical rehabilitation, long-term care, behavioral management, Ventilator/Respiratory/Trach. Care Hospice, and Respite services. Preakness Healthcare Center has been providing high-quality healthcare to the community since 1929.  

We are currently seeking PART TIME Certified Nursing Assistants (CNA) for ALL SHIFTS (8 hr shifts) that includes working every weekend. Under direction of a nurse or other supervisory staff, CNAs perform the non-clinical nursing duties involved in the care of residents for their activities of daily living to provide resident-centered care.
 

As per NJ Civil Service Job Specification: 02562
Responsibilities will include:
• Provide resident-centered care as a member of the interdisciplinary care team
• Maintain required documentation
• Ability to establish and maintain cooperative relationships with residents and staff

Salary: As per AFSCME 2273 Agreement
License Required: As per NJAC 8:39-43.2, a valid NJ Nurse’s Aide Certification

Newly hired employees must agree to a thorough background check that may include finger printing. As of September 2010, in accordance with N.J.S.A 52:14-7, the “New Jersey First Act,” all new employees must reside in the State of New Jersey, unless exempted under the law.
